Over the past three days, we were warmly welcomed by Fr. Walter, Pastor at St. Thomas (Charlottesville), St. George (Scottsville), and Dean of the Central Vicariate, Region 10.

Despite his many responsibilities in the Richmond Diocese, Fr. Walter made time each night of our Simbang Gabi celebration to ensure that we felt at home at St. Thomas. He prepared for Mass with us, supported the visiting priests, guided our young altar servers, and joined us during our fellowship gatherings – sharing meals, offering prayers for birthdays and anniversaries, and celebrating with our community.

Long after Simbang Gabi concludes, the warmth and hospitality of St. Thomas will remain in the hearts of the Filipino community. Salamat Po, Fr. Walter
