It is an exciting time when a family is expecting the birth of a child. Parents and grandparents, siblings and cousins, aunts and uncles, and friends from near and far all start to prepare for the arrival of the little one. There is a shared sense of anticipation, hope and joy as everyone gets ready to welcome new life into the world.
Last night our Filipino-American Catholic Community gathered for our 9th and final day of Simbang Gabi. Over these past nine days being together – as a community – has given us the grace to prepare as one family for the coming of the Child Jesus, who is born on Christmas Day
Day 1: God gathers His people
Day 2: God’s faithfulness through generations
Day 3: Emmanuel – God with us
Day 4: God answers long‑held prayers
Day 5: God’s plan, and Mary responds with her wholehearted “Let it be done.”
Day 6: Joy in encounter
Day 7: God lifts up the lowly
Day 8: Preparing the way
Day 9: The dawn of salvation
Thank you to the churches, pastors, and many people that made our celebration possible. As our Filipino-American Catholic Community continues to grow, so does our gratitude for the countless ways you have supported us, welcomed us, and walked with us in faith.
Maligayang Pasko sa iyo at sa iyong pamilya!
Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas!
